No one seems to listen

We live via hashtags,trends, pins,
Every second
There is something "new"
More noise
And...
The noisier it gets
The less
People are connected
Despite the social media tools we have
We say we are wirelessly "connected"--
Stalking lives of friends from long ago
Wishing we were really truly connected
It is a good thing
No!
It is a great(!) thing
The truth never changes
It is unshakeable
Despite new trends
And gadgets
The challenge lies in
How to say these truths
In a fresh new way
To be heard above the din
Not brushed-off as religious gibberish
